Saved searches and scheduled reports

Save the Analytics filters you use most, and schedule reports to be emailed or sent over SFTP on a regular basis.

Written by Cody Iddings

Save the Analytics filters you use most, so you can get back to them in one click, and schedule a saved search to send its reports on a regular basis.

Note: Saved searches and scheduled reports are on the Enterprise plan.

Saved searches

Create a saved search

  1. Go to Analytics and click the Saved searches tab.

  2. Click Create new search.

  3. Set your filters, and then click Save search.

To use it, on the dashboard, choose it from the Saved search list under Filters. If you then change a filter, the list goes back to None selected, so you can always tell whether you're looking at the saved view.

Change a saved search

  1. On the Saved searches tab, click ••• next to the search.

  2. Click Manage filters, make your changes, and save.

Delete a saved search

  1. On the Saved searches tab, click ••• next to the search.

  2. Click Delete, and then confirm.

Scheduled reports

A scheduled report sends a saved search's attendance and experience reports on a regular basis, by email or to your SFTP server.

Schedule a report

  1. Create a saved search with at least one experience selected, and a date range that's relative (such as the last 7 days) or has a fixed start date.

  2. On the Saved searches tab, click ••• next to the search.

  3. Click Add report schedule.

  4. Under Delivery method, choose Email or SFTP, fill in the details, and click Schedule report.

Note: Reports can only be emailed to people in your organization who have a Makeshapes account. To send them to anyone else, forward them from your email, invite the person to Makeshapes, or deliver them to your SFTP server.

Change a report schedule

  1. On the Saved searches tab, click ••• next to the search.

  2. Click Manage report schedule, make your changes, and save.

Stop a report schedule

  1. On the Saved searches tab, click ••• next to the search.

  2. Click Remove schedule, and then confirm.
