When you export session data, you'll receive two separate reports in an Excel file: an attendance report and an experience report. Use the date range filter to select the sessions you want to include in the export.
Currently, all exports are delivered in Excel format. If you require a different format (e.g., CSV, JSON), please don't hesitate to contact us.
Important: The date filter is based on the completed session date in your local timezone.
Attendance reports
The data for attendance reports is for completed sessions only. Attendance data is often used to integrate with your LMS or LXP.
Session ID: This is a group session ID. All participants from a single session will have the same ID.
Session start time (UTC): This is the time and date the participant started the session, in UTC time.
Participant name: This is the name the participant inputted into the text field ‘Name’ when they registered.
Participant email: This is the email the participant inputted into the text field ‘Email’ when they registered.
Type: Automatically assigned as either participant or host based on how they registered.
Remote: If the participant chose ‘Joining on a video call’ when they registered, they will be marked ‘Video call’. If they chose ‘Join in person’, they will be marked as ‘In Person’.
Removed: If they were removed from the session for any reason, they will have been marked as removed.
Session Complete Time (UTC): This is the time and date the participant completed the session, in UTC time.
Experience reports
The data for experience reports is for completed sessions only. The data from the Experience reports are often aggregated, built into dashboards, or used to gather insights from the output of the sessions. If you need help reading your experience reports, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Session and Participant ID: Each unique participant and session appears on a single row. All participants from a single session will have the same ID, but differing participant IDs.
Participant location: Participants are automatically assigned a country and city based on their IP address. If they are using a corporate VPN, it will often show they are in a different location from where they actually are.
Additional participant information: If the ‘Additional participant information’ field is active, this will show the title of the field and the participants’ chosen selection. Read more about this option here.
Participant anonymity is turned on by default in experience settings. This will hide participant email address in the experience reports. If it's turned off, then email addresses will appear in Experience reports.
We recommend to let participants know if their responses are anonymous (to encourage open sharing) or linked to their identity.
The remainder of the columns are the activities of the experience, in the order they appear for the participant. You'll see the type of activity in the first row, the participant prompt in the second row, and the participant response on the participant row. If there are more than one participant response to the particular activity, it will show in a new column. Note: If you edit an existing participant response after the session has run, this will create another column in the data set.
