Add Audio to your experience
Audio is a key element in making Makeshapes experiences engaging. We recommend putting as much effort into your audio as you would into your video content.
Makeshapes audio features
Audio Introduction: Add audio that automatically plays at the beginning of an activity. The activity timer starts once the audio begins. Audio introductions are a great way to transition the group from videos to activities.
Expert Tips (Audio): Add audio tips that participants can play if they need help with an activity or discussion.
Background Audio: Add audio that plays quietly in the background of an activity or in the waiting room during registration. We recommend using background audio for most interactive activities.

Editing and deleting audio
You can edit uploaded, recorded, or added audio files to change the start/end time, title, or delete the file. To edit the start and end time, enter the desired times in the text boxes or drag the bar below the sound waves.
Audio Avatar
You can choose to display an avatar for each audio introduction or expert tip. This creates a more personal feel, similar to Loom videos. You can set the avatar image and position in the Experience Settings (to apply it across the entire experience) or override the settings when editing an individual audio file. By default, the avatar is hidden. You can choose to position it at the bottom-center, bottom-right, bottom-left, or top-center.
You can also choose to have a floating-orb style avatar without uploading an image. Just set the positioning and check it out!
We recommend setting the avatar at the experience level for consistency and then modifying the positioning as needed for individual audio segments.
