Use Surveys to collect information from participants. This activity is an individual activity and is not shared with the group. Therefore, we recommend using surveys sparingly, such as duplicate surveys at the beginning and end of the experience to gauge progress.

How to add a Survey:

  1. Add a Survey activity to your desired section.

  2. Add a headline and description to prompt the group about the overall survey. Individual questions are asked on the participant's device.

  3. Add survey questions to the participant's device. This is what they see on their phone. There are two survey question types:

    1. Opinion scale. Offers only 1–10 with various text labels.

    2. Free text.

  4. Choose your desired time. We recommend approximately 30 seconds per survey question.

  5. Choose your atmospheric background audio that plays while participants are adding their responses.

  6. Provoking complex or deep thoughts? Add an optional Audio tip to give participants an extra prompt to provoke further thought.

When to use surveys:

  • Gathering data or feedback on sensitive questions.

  • Gathering sentiment (e.g., Net Promoter Score) about the experience from your participants.

  • Repeat the survey questions at the beginning and end of the experience to compare pre- and post-responses.

Reporting

  • For opinion scale questions, the data appears as numeric from 1 to 10. For free text questions, the data appears as plain text.
