The poll activity is an anonymous, visual survey where responses (seen as bubbles) grow in size as participants vote for them. Consider using this activity when you are trying to gather the opinions and choices from the group in a lighthearted survey. Because this activity is anonymous, it’s often used as a safe way to survey the group.

How to add a poll:

  1. Add a “Poll” activity to your desired section

  2. Add a headline and description to prompt the group. We also recommend uploading an “Audio introduction” that supports the text on screen. Audio intros play at the beginning of the activity.

  3. Add a similar (or the same) prompt on the participant device. This is what they see on their phone.

  4. Add your poll options. These show up on the participant’s device and are prompted to choose one. There is an option in settings to have shortened or different text on the group canvas.

  5. Choose your desired time. We recommend 2 minutes for most interactive activities.

  6. Choose your atmospheric background audio that plays while participants are choosing their response.

  7. Provoking complex or deep thoughts? Add an optional “Audio tip” to give participants an extra prompt to provoke further.

When to use the Poll activity:

  • Use a poll to gather the options and choices of the group

  • Use a poll to highlight the diversity of opinion

  • Use a poll to visualise a vote and get consensus

Reporting:

  • The data appears as their chosen responses (in plain text) in the report. All reporting data is anonymous.
