The post-it activity allows every participant to have a voice. It’s a great way for participants to note down a single thought in a limited space and share it with the entire group equally. Consider combining post-its with a discussion to allow participants to share further thoughts of what they wrote down.

Note for Creator customers: following the experience, by default, each participants' post-its will be emailed to them individually. You can change this by editing the post-experience email template.

How to add a post-it:

  1. Add a “Post-it” activity to your desired section

  2. Add a headline and description to prompt the group. We also recommend uploading an “Audio introduction” that supports the text on screen. Audio intros play at the beginning of the activity.

  3. Add a similar (or the same) prompt on the participant device. This is what they see on their phone. The text field label is the placeholder text in the participant input field.

  4. Choose your desired time. We recommend 2 minutes for most interactive activities.

  5. Choose your atmospheric background audio that plays while participants are adding their post-it.

  6. Provoking complex or deep thoughts? Add an optional “Audio tip” to give participants an extra prompt to provoke further.

  7. Post-its have a few extra options:

    1. Post-its can also be made anonymous, otherwise they will have the coloured avatar of the participant.

    2. By default, only 1 post-it can be added per participant. Change this number on the dropdown on the right.

When to use post-its:

  • Use post-its to capture ideas

  • Use post-its following a video to allow participants to add notes or thoughts from the video to share with the group

  • Use post-its to capture ideas from the group at the beginning of a section

Reporting:

  • The data appears as a plain text in the report. All reporting data is anonymous.
