A group note is an optional input for the entire group to record their thoughts. It's available throughout the entire experience and can be inputted at any time.

FAQS

When should the group use a group note?

It really depends on the experience and the type of learning the group is going through. However, even if it's unprompted from the experience or the host, sometimes the group may want to record an insight or a collective thought.

How does the group add a group note?

  • On the group view, on all activities, discussions, and reflections (not video) there will a button that says "Add Group Note + " on the top right of the screen. If the host clicks this button with their mouse, a note area will be revealed and the host can start typing. The group note will be save automatically.

  • On the host controls, the host can tap a button on the right displaying a "+". This will open a text box where the host can type the note. When finished, tap "Add group note > " and the note will appear on the group view.

Can the group edit the note once it's been added?

Yes, just select the text to start editing. If trying to edit using host controls, click on the same button that the host used to create the note.

How many notes can be added?

There can be as many notes as there are discussions and activities in an experience. However, per activity, only one note can be added. The note does not have a character limit.

Are the group notes accessible after the session?

Yes, for most of Makeshapes experiences, group notes should be included in an email sent to all participants following the session. Group notes are also available in the second tab of the experience reports.

If you are a Creator customer, you can read more about the email here.
