Reflections are a great way for the group to slow down and think through what they have been learning, without being pressured to share. We believe that intentionally designed reflection time is important to foster and facilitate deeper learning.

How to add a Reflection:

  1. Add a “Reflection” activity to your desired section

  2. Add a headline and description to prompt the group reflection time. We also recommend uploading an “Audio introduction” that supports the text on screen. Audio intros play at the beginning of the reflection.

  3. Choose your desired time. We don’t recommend more than 4 minutes for reflection time—much longer and the participants may become uneasy.

  4. Choose your atmosphere: an image that displays on screen and background audio that plays during the discussion. Note: if you are following a discussion after an activity, you may have a setting to toggle: “Use previous responses”. This will replace any background image and show the responses from the previous responses.

  5. Provoking complex or deep thoughts? Add an optional “Audio tip” to give participants an extra prompt to provoke further.

When to use reflections:

  • Use reflection after a thought-provoking video or activity

  • Use reflection before an activity to have participants pause intentionally

  • Use reflection to internalise learning and prompt personal reflection relating to application and context of ideas

Reporting:

  • There is no data collected from participants during discussions.
