As the host, you move the group through a session. You can also go back to an earlier section, replay part of a video, pause the session, or restart it from the beginning.
See where the group is
The shared screen shows the group's progress in two ways:
The agenda rail: shows how many sections the group has completed and where they are in the experience. Hold the pointer over it to see more detail.
The progress dots: during an activity, show how many activities in the section are done and how many are left. A green dot with a tick is a completed activity, the black dot is the current activity, and each white dot is an activity still to come.
Move forward
To take the group to the next activity, click Next activity on the shared screen, or tap it in your host controls. If some learners haven't finished the activity, you and the group see who's still going.
Go back
If the experience allows it, you can take the group back to something they've already covered. There are two ways:
To step back one activity, click Go back, the back arrow next to Next activity.
To jump straight to a completed section, press and hold it in the agenda rail or on the pause screen. Holding rather than clicking stops a stray click from moving the group by accident.
Going back moves everyone, and learners keep the answers they already gave.
To return to where the group got to, press and hold the furthest section they reached in the agenda rail. In your host controls, press and hold the forward arrow next to Next activity. Its tooltip reads Skip forward to where the group got to. You don't have to click Next activity through everything in between, which would replay intro audio and restart break timers.
You can't jump to a section the group hasn't reached yet. Going back is for earlier sections only.
Going back is off unless the experience turns it on. To turn it on, open the experience's Settings, and under Host navigation, select Allow the host to go back to earlier sections. For more about settings, see Managing experience settings.
Replay part of a video
On the shared screen, hold the pointer over the video to show its progress bar. To go back or forward in the video, click the point you want on the progress bar.
Pause the session
There are two ways to pause:
Quick pause: during a video, click the video on the shared screen. The video pauses without opening the pause screen.
Session pause: click Pause on the shared screen, or tap the pause button in your host controls. The pause screen opens, with the full agenda, options for managing the session, and help. For more information, see Pause and manage a session.
Restart the session
If the group needs to start again from the beginning, click Restart the session on the pause screen. Restarting removes all responses and progress so far, so use it only as a last resort.
