Open an experience's settings

If you're an editor or administrator, you can change an experience's settings:

  1. Open the experience.

  2. Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.

What you can change

  • Name and description: At the top of the page.

  • Cover image: The image on the experience's card.

Media

  • Background Music: The music that plays while learners join. There are a few royalty-free options to choose from.

  • Audio avatar: An image, such as a photo of the narrator, shown with audio introductions and expert tips. A square photo works best. See Managing media content.

Time & participants

  • Estimated completion time: Worked out automatically from the length of your content. It shows Auto unless you set it yourself.

  • Ideal group size: How many learners the experience is designed for.

  • Participant anonymity: With Hide participant email addresses on, which is the default, learners' email addresses aren't linked to their responses in the experience reports. It stays on if the experience doesn't collect email addresses.

Shape and project

  • Shape: The experience's brief: its key outcome, style, audience, host capability, environment and learning objectives. See Defining your experience brief.

  • Project: Which project the experience belongs to. This decides which team members can see and edit it.

Registration

The Registration card controls what learners are asked for before the experience starts.

  • Collect email addresses: Learners give their name and email address when they join. With this off, they give a name only. That means they get no post-experience emails, and attendance and reporting are anonymized, so responses can't be traced back to a person.

  • Agreements: Statements everyone agrees to on their own device before the experience starts. You can edit the wording, add your own, or reset them back to the defaults. The host can still skip this on the day.

If your organization uses single sign-on for learners, email comes from there and the email option is locked on.

Host navigation

Allow the host to go back to earlier sections lets the host revisit content during a session, with a back button beside Next, or by pressing and holding any completed section in the session rail or on the pause screen. Going back moves everyone, and learners keep the answers they already gave.

It's off by default, so turn it on for experiences where a host is likely to need to recap. More on what hosts see in Host notes and the session outline.

Languages

Organizations with multi-language switched on get a Languages card here, for choosing which languages this experience is translated into, and a Subtitle languages card for media. See How multi-language experiences work.
